MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER

Franc has given speeches and keynote addresses since 1995 in both Spanish and English. After spending 12 years at Microsoft in various roles (Director being the most recent), he left to get a series of surgeries he needed to have done. Some of his speaking engagements included the following:

• Academia: Colleges, Universities, High Schools, and Middle Schools across the US and Mexico

• Technology Conferences such as: WinHEC (Windows Hardware Engineering Conference), TechED, and more.

• Diversity Organizations’ events and conferences, such as: NSHMBA (National Society of Hispanic MBAs), SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers), and more.

Franc is originally from a Mayan village in Yucatan Mexico. He came to the US at the age of 15 to the Los Angeles area, where he studied High School, received an undergraduate degree (Computer Science), and a graduate degree (MBA).

Franc speaks Spanish, English, French, understands Mayan, and some Japanese. During his career at Microsoft, he traveled to over 30 countries on business. He also helped start Microsoft’s Consulting Services offices in Spain, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, and Japan.

Among his most notable contributions are the Digital Photography features in Windows ME and Windows XP, where he received a number of recognitions, and patent awards.

At the same time, he was the Chairman of the Hispanic Employees group at Microsoft, where he worked closely with Microsoft’s Diversity group. He was also an active member of the Diversity Advisory Council.

Using his experience, value for education, and commitment to helping others, Franc has motivated a number of people to recognize their inner power and desire to succeed. His impact on local schools has been well recognized.

Because of his unique trajectory, Franc has been featured in various magazines, newspapers, TV, and radio interviews in the US and Mexico – not only for his speaking abilities, but also for his commitment to working with the community.
